Carl Nelson brings veteran paint depth for Texas A&M-Corpus Christi
In the 2007 season, Carl Nelson was a 6-11 junior who gave Texas A&M-Corpus Christi reliable size, backup minutes, and defensive presence in the paint, averaging 2.2 points and 1.7 rebounds in 28 games as a reserve[1]. Team coverage described him as quality depth who would be counted on defensively, and another national roundup noted he provided valuable breather time for the Islanders’ frontcourt stars[1][2].
