Albany’s hard-nosed safety with a veteran edge
Austin Weeks is a former UAlbany safety whose most recent verified football bio shows he played in seven games in the 2015 season and logged a tackle at Richmond, so there’s no current 2026 stat line to judge as an active player[3][4]. What stands out is the defensive versatility and experience he showed after originally entering college as a receiver before moving to safety, plus the durability to earn playing time across multiple seasons[3][8]. He looks like a fit for a staff that values coachability, special-teams toughness, and a low-drama glue guy more than splashy box-score production[3].
