Diesel Toth brings pop, versatility, and freshman buzz to CBU
In the 2026 season, Diesel Toth emerged as one of California Baptist’s most intriguing newcomers, praised as a versatile infielder with strength and quickness and tagged by the program as a player to watch[1][9]. He paired that upside with real production, finishing the 2026 regular-season stats line at .267 with 46 hits, 11 doubles, 3 homers, 19 RBIs, and a .760 OPS[2]. The big takeaway: he looks like a tough, energetic fit who can impact games in multiple ways, with enough bat and athleticism to matter right away rather than just project down the road[1][9].
