Josie Filer brings veteran forward production and big-game grit to UIC
Josie Filer is a proven, high-minute forward who, in the 2022-23 season, led UIC in scoring (12.6 points per game) and was tied for the team lead in rebounding (6.6 per game) while starting all 36 games[1][2]. She’s a strong fit if you want a tough, experienced frontcourt player who scores efficiently, rebounds like it matters, and has a clutch streak—remember the buzzer-beater against Valparaiso and multiple 22-point games that helped power UIC’s postseason run[3][7].
