Deon Smith brings proven playmaking and big-time burst to Jackson State
Deon Smith is a versatile offensive weapon with a reputation for explosive production and a strong nose for yardage after contact, making him the kind of receiver who can flip field position on a few touches. His background includes high-level recruiting attention and evidence of game-breaking efficiency, but the biggest question for Jackson State is role fit and durability, since his past production has also come with injury interruption. If you want a dynamic, attack-the-defense profile rather than a possession-only target, he’s an intriguing upside add.
