Will Girardi brings left-handed intrigue to DBU after a winding path
Will Girardi is a Dallas Baptist left-hander who, in the 2025 fall report, was described as touching 92 mph on the Cape, a strong indicator of real arm strength and upside[1]. He took a notably unconventional route to DBU, with the report noting he had previously pitched at Division III UW-Eau Claire before emerging as a prospect, which makes him a classic “late bloomer” worth tracking[1]. The appeal here is projection: sneaky velocity, a transferable left-handed profile, and a backstory that suggests he’s still climbing rather than plateauing[1].
