veteran UTEP edge defender with proven toughness and back-in-the-day disruption
Luke Elsner is a seasoned UTEP defensive lineman whose appeal is rooted in grit, experience, and a history of disruptive play rather than eye-popping box-score numbers. In the 2016 season, ESPN lists him with 7 total tackles and 0.5 tackles for loss, while UTEP’s roster history and coverage note he spent much of his earlier college career battling back injury issues before returning healthy and energized. His differentiators are toughness, edge-setting experience, and a “ready to go” mindset that coaches usually love—he looks like a smart fit for a team that values reliable, low-drama trench play over flash.
