Brian Thompson brings size and developmental upside to Merrimack’s secondary
Brian Thompson is a big-bodied defensive back at Merrimack who has shown the profile of a physical, assignment-sound depth piece rather than a headline-grabbing ballhawk. In the 2016 season, he appeared in five games as a true freshman and logged 2 tackles, including a tackle for loss, and in the 2019 season he again saw action in 5 games and finished with 2 tackles. At 6'3" and around 200 pounds, his size stands out; the fit question is less about flash and more about whether a team wants a disciplined, long-limbed DB with special-teams value and developmental upside.
