Undersized Ballhawk with Tackling Prowess for NIU Huskies
Corey Kennedy, a gritty 5-9 safety for Northern Illinois, stands out as a high-motor playmaker who amassed 123 tackles, 10 TFLs, 7 INTs, 3 forced fumbles, and 3 recoveries across 33 college games at NIU and Wheaton—impressive for his frame. A two-time All-Conference HS standout from Oswego, IL, with 50 tackles and 9 PBUs as a senior, his senior MVP intensity and versatility (DB/ATH scoring 5 TDs) make him a fearless competitor ideal for teams needing scrappy, instinctive secondary depth that punches above its weight.
