Venjie Wallis brings veteran guard length and two-way grit to Jackson State
In the 2019 season, Venjie Wallis was a 6'6" senior guard who gave Jackson State real lineup flexibility, averaging 8.28 points, 3.3 rebounds, 1.3 assists and 1.4 steals per game while logging 31.2 minutes a night. His calling card is length, defensive activity, and experience—he can switch, pressure the ball, and create disruption without needing high usage. The upside fit is clear for a team that wants a smart, mature glue guy; the concern is that his offensive ceiling looked more steady than explosive, so he profiles best as a reliable connector rather than a volume scorer.
