Hurley Johnson brings steady guard minutes and efficient scoring for UTRGV
Johnson is a rotation guard for UTRGV whose current profile is built on efficiency and low-mistake production, averaging 3.3 points, 1.0 rebounds, and 0.5 assists while shooting 38.0% from the field in the 2025-26 season. He reads as a depth piece more than a featured creator, but his value is in dependable minutes, guard depth, and a compact game that fits a team looking for role clarity rather than high-usage offense. The bigger question for a fit is upside: he projects as a complementary piece, not a headline engine.
