Jalen Henderson brings proven toughness and high-end rushing upside to Samford’s backfield
Henderson is a veteran running back with a strong prep résumé, including over 1,000 rushing yards and 20-plus total touchdowns in high school, and he fits the profile of a physical, experienced runner who can handle volume. Samford’s roster page lists him as a 5-foot-11, 200-pound graduate student RB, but it does not show current 2025 game stats, so the clearest takeaway is his established track record and college experience rather than fresh production. If you want a sturdy back with a downhill style and some legit nose-for-the-end-zone pedigree, he’s worth attention.
