Arkansas’s former blue-chip tackle whose career ended with durability questions
Colton Jackson arrived at Arkansas as a highly regarded in-state offensive tackle — a four-star recruit and the No. 5 player in Arkansas in his signing class, with national tackle recognition from Rivals[1]. In college, he showed the traits coaches love in an OL: size, length, and enough pass-protection skill to earn a starting role, but his career was also defined by injuries, and Arkansas’ roster bio notes he medically retired midway through the 2019 season after sustaining injuries throughout his career[1]. If you’re evaluating him as a fit, the upside was real; the availability concerns were, too — the classic “great when healthy” lineman profile.
