Reliable UCF slot option with big-play flashes and veteran utility
Amari Johnson is a compact, experienced UCF receiver who flashed real value in the 2021 season, finishing fourth on the team with 23 catches for 138 yards and a touchdown, while also adding seven rushes for 27 yards and a score[1][2]. His calling card is versatility: he can work underneath, contribute in motion/jet concepts, and help on punt returns, which makes him more than just a stat line[1][10]. The upside is steady depth and gadget value rather than star-level production, and his 2023 impact was limited by only three appearances[1][2].
