Fernando Ferrer Jr. brings fresh-blood upside to UMES infield
Fernando Ferrer Jr. is a freshman infielder at Maryland Eastern Shore who arrived from Tohopekaliga HS with a strong prep résumé, including first-team all-conference honors and a sizable frame at 6-foot-3, 230 pounds that suggests real strength potential. He made his collegiate debut in the 2026 season, so the sample is tiny and the stat sheet is still mostly blank, but that also means the upside play here is about projection, physicality, and development rather than polished production. If you want a long-term bat with size and room to grow, he’s a name worth tracking.
