Alexis Hayes brings rookie energy and length to Kentucky State’s backcourt
In the 2025-26 season, Kentucky State freshman guard Alexis Hayes has shown flashes of a low-usage, gritty backcourt piece: 22 games, 4 starts, 2.0 points and 0.8 rebounds per game in 11.8 minutes, with a .643 free-throw mark and a 1.3 assist-to-turnover ratio. The eye test matches the numbers—she’s a 5-foot-8 guard who competes hard, defends with activity, and fits as a development guard rather than a polished high-volume scorer. If a team wants a connector who can grow into more, Hayes is worth a look.
