Syracuse's Gritty Captain Turned NFL Prospect & Coach
Macky MacPherson, a 6-2, 290-lb center for Syracuse Orange, earned 2013 All-ACC Second Team honors as a senior captain, starting all 13 games and anchoring lines for three bowl wins; his leadership, academic excellence (BIG EAST All-Academic 2011-12), and pro day buzz (15+ bench reps) highlight his toughness and football IQ despite modest size. Post-college, he signed undrafted with Buffalo Bills under ex-SU coach Doug Marrone and now coaches at Kent State—ideal for teams seeking reliable, high-character linemen with proven starting pedigree.
