Jon Sheperd-Smith brings Davidson veteran grit and a versatile football backstory
A Davidson alum whose football path included both tight end and defensive-line roles, Jon Sheperd-Smith stands out more for versatility, toughness, and leadership than for gaudy box-score production. Davidson’s roster and archives show him contributing on offense in 2017 and earlier as a durable, multi-role player, while school features highlight his discipline, service mindset, and team-first personality—traits that translate well in a locker room. If you want a selfless, high-IQ glue guy with proven buy-in, he’s your kind of athlete.
