Anthony Egbo Jr. brings all-conference-level versatility and rare off-field leadership to ACU’s secondary
Egbo Jr. is a **compact, experienced DB** for Abilene Christian who pairs on-field playmaking with standout leadership and academics: ACU notes he was a **2023-24 FCS ADA Scholar-Athlete of the Year**, a **team captain twice**, and a **first-team all-conference** selection[4][7]. He also showed real special-teams value, including a **blocked field goal** in 2023, which points to effort and toughness beyond standard coverage stats[3]. At 5'8" and 190 pounds, he fits as an energy player and tone-setter who can help a roster with competitiveness, intelligence, and high character[2][8].
