Jermaine Malcolm brings experience and playmaking upside to Illinois State’s secondary
Jermaine Malcolm’s 2025 profile at Illinois State points to a defender with real game experience and ball skills, after he played in all 11 games with seven starts at safety and finished with 34 tackles, 17 solo stops, and one interception[3]. That production suggests a reliable, assignment-sound DB who can be trusted on the field early and compete for snaps in multiple coverage roles, which is valuable for a staff looking for toughness and consistency rather than flash[3].
