High School Hero Turned D3 Standout After D1 Citadel Stint
Jerry Higgins III, a 5'10" Cleveland guard, dazzled in high school with two state titles, All-Ohio honors, and games like 30-point explosions, but averaged modest 2.5 PTS/0.7 REB/1.4 AST (45.7% FG) over 53 D1 games at The Citadel (career thru 2021-22), transitioning to John Carroll University D3 where he posted 4.7 PTS/2 REB/0.7 AST (32.1% FG) in 23 games during 2023-24. His gritty intensity, championship pedigree, and point guard vision make him a reliable bench spark and locker room winner—perfect for teams needing hustle and leadership over star power.
