UIW Cardinals' Under-the-Radar Junior Guard with Defensive Upside
Ryan Flores, a 6'5" junior guard for the UIW Cardinals in the Southland Conference, brings versatile size and length to the backcourt, averaging modest 0.2 PTS, 0.4 REB, and 0.4 AST in limited 2023-24 minutes per ESPN stats, but Hudl highlights reveal his elite steal potential (e.g., 3 steals vs. Allen). His differentiator is pesky on-ball defense and transition play, ideal for teams needing intensity without ego—low-usage role player who's a perfect glue-guy fit for contending squads seeking affordable, high-motor depth.
