Eric Lines brings veteran linebacker savvy and proven tackling instincts to Western Illinois
Eric Lines is a steady, experience-driven linebacker profile for Western Illinois, with historical evidence of production as a tackler and backfield disruptor; in 2006, he logged 3 tackles and 1 sack against Wisconsin, and his Western Illinois bio lists a career ending with 334 tackles, a strong marker of feel and reliability. He looks like the kind of defender who fits best in a physical, assignment-sound front: tough, disciplined, and comfortable doing the dirty work. The catch? The public data available here is historical rather than current, so any 2026 role or performance update would need a fresh roster check.
