Louis Mackey is a former Akron linebacker, not a current 2026 Zips defender
Louis Mackey’s available public stats point to a past Akron career, not an active 2026 roster role: he played linebacker for Akron before reaching the NFL, then logged 16 career NFL games with the Cowboys in 2001-2002 and 12 total tackles in pro play. For a current-team fit, he is not an answer in the present-day Akron linebacker room; for historical context, he was a sturdy, versatile linebacker who made the jump from Akron to the NFL.
