Veteran Charleston Southern DB with proven tackling production
Mathis is a **reliable, experienced defensive back** whose most notable season on record came in **2016**, when he posted **23 tackles**, **1.0 sack**, and **2.0 tackles for loss** for Charleston Southern. The available data suggests a physical, assignment-conscious defender who can contribute near the line of scrimmage as well as in coverage, but there is limited recent public statistical information to gauge current form. If you need a DB with game experience, effort, and willingness to do dirty work, he’s the kind of player who can fit a depth or rotational role.
