Texas Southern LB with Untapped Potential in Search of Spotlight
Phong Nguyen, linebacker for the Texas Southern Tigers, remains a developing talent in the SWAC with limited public stats available for the 2025 season, but his profile echoes the relentless intensity of Vietnamese-American NFL pioneer Dat Nguyen, a unanimous All-American at Texas A&M. Strengths include sideline-to-sideline speed and tackling ferocity, ideal for run-heavy conferences; no notable injury history, but needs polish in coverage to elevate. A high-motor fit for teams seeking undervalued, gritty depth who thrives in physical schemes—watch for breakout if snaps increase.
