Physical Maryland back who brings short-yardage pop
Challen Faamatau is a tough, downhill Maryland running back whose best college tape came in the 2021 season, when he logged 316 rushing yards on 56 carries and scored 3 rushing touchdowns, plus 2 catches for 16 yards[10]. He also had a 44-yard receiving burst against Indiana in 2021 and a 2-yard touchdown run against Penn State, which hints at a useful, physical role player rather than a volume feature back[12][13]. At 5'11" and 225 pounds, he profiles as a compact power runner with value in short-yardage and contact situations[1][7].
