Mariah Wilson brings veteran rim protection and blue-collar value to UNCG
In the 2016-17 season, Mariah Wilson was a defensive anchor for UNCG, earning the team’s Defensive Player of the Year honor while averaging 3.3 rebounds and 1.1 blocks in 13.8 minutes per game. Her calling card is clear: size, shot-blocking, and physical interior presence, the kind of center who makes opponents feel every trip into the lane. The big question for any roster fit is offense, since her stat line shows modest scoring, but if you need toughness, rebounding, and paint protection, she’s a very real fit.
