Samford’s steady guard with a shooter’s touch
Jennifer Lutrell is a veteran Samford guard whose game has long been defined by composure, shooting range, and leadership; in the 1998 season, she averaged 9.2 points as a freshman shooting guard, and earlier Samford coverage highlighted her as a two-time all-state guard and USA Today honorable mention All-American. The biggest reason to care: she projects as the kind of guard who steadies an offense, spaces the floor, and brings a proven competitive edge—more polished than flashy, but exactly the sort of tough, reliable fit coaches love.
