Contact-First Catcher Bringing Veteran Depth to Utah
Kilgore is a useful, steady catcher who gave Utah real lineup flexibility in 2025, appearing in 20 games with nine starts and splitting time behind the plate, in left field, and at DH. His profile is more about dependable at-bats and on-base contribution than loud tools: he added eight walks, showed situational value with a 2-for-2, two-RBI game at San Jose State, and brings proven offensive production from Johnson County Community College, where he hit .361 with 49 RBI in 2024. He looks like a fit for teams valuing versatility, maturity, and low-drama reliability over star-level flash.
