High-motor Oregon State outside linebacker with linebacker-to-line-play toughness
Ryan Franke brings a sturdy 6-3 frame, a blue-collar edge, and positional versatility that should catch a coach’s eye. In the 2018 recruiting cycle, he was a three-star prospect, ranked among the top 100 outside linebackers nationally and No. 70 in California by ESPN, and he produced 17 tackles for loss as a senior at Oaks Christian while helping win a CIF title[1][2]. Oregon State’s roster lists him as a redshirt junior outside linebacker, and his background as a former defensive end and tackle hints at a physical, plug-and-play mentality rather than a finesse-only profile[1][2].
