Explosive High School Scorer Adjusting to D1 at Iona
Tavon Sledge, a dynamic guard who erupted for a national-notice 46-point game and averaged 25.3 PPG, 5.2 APG, 3.5 SPG as a senior at Half Hollow Hills West (NY Class AA state semis), now brings scoring flair to Iona Gaels; current D1 stats show 4.1 PPG, 2.0 APG, 50.2 FG% in limited role, signaling untapped upside for a quick, steal-heavy playmaker. His clutch intensity (e.g., game-tying shots at prior stops) makes him a bench spark with pro-am buzz—perfect fit for teams needing guard depth and transition scoring punch.
