Matthew LeBlanc brings veteran linebacker size and Maine grit
In the 2026 season, Matthew LeBlanc is a senior linebacker at Maine listed at 6-2, 228, giving the Black Bears a bigger, older body in the middle of the defense[2]. His appeal is the classic linebacker package: size, maturity, and a steady, physical presence that fits a run-first, contact-heavy role rather than flashy stat-chasing. Maine’s roster listings also show he has been in the program long enough to understand the defense and play with the kind of edge coaches love[2]. If you want a dependable, tough-fit LB with veteran value, he makes sense.
