Josh Rode brings developmental upside as Toledo’s kickoff specialist
Rode is a depth-chart kicker for Toledo who has shown usable kickoff strength, averaging 57.6 yards on 37 kickoffs in the 2024 season, though he was listed as No. 3 at placekicker entering the year. He looks like a roster-fit candidate if you want a young specialist with a leg that can help field position, but the current profile suggests he is still competing for a bigger kicking role rather than already being a finished product.[3]
