Jacob Hollins brings Temple a smart, physical veteran linebacker with real experience
In the 2026 season, Jacob Hollins stands out as a seasoned, 6-1, 220-pound graduate-student linebacker for Temple who has bounced through Illinois, Fresno State, and Garden City CC before settling in as a trusted defender for the Owls[2][7]. Temple coaches have praised him as one of the smartest players on the defense, noting that he absorbs a coaching point once and turns it into a clean game rep[3]. His best traits are reliability, toughness, and instinctive play recognition, while his background suggests a well-traveled, battle-tested fit for a team that values football IQ and steady linebacker play[2][3][8].
