Rice S Kirk Lockhart: A physical, assignment-sound defensive back with upside
Kirk Lockhart is a Rice safety to watch for his defensive-back versatility, physicality, and projectable fit in a system that values disciplined coverage and run support. Publicly available info is limited, but current roster-style listings identify him with the Owls, which suggests he remains in the program’s evaluation mix rather than a nationally tracked headline name.[1] For a team, the appeal is a potential depth piece who can add toughness, communication, and special-teams value—traits that often matter more than raw stat lines at safety. There is not enough reliable public data here to make a strong rankings or production claim.
