Kai Etwaru is a high-upside lefty who misses bats and can swing innings out of the bullpen
In the 2026 season, Kai Etwaru has looked like a valuable relief arm for North Florida, including a 4.1-inning shutout outing with 7 strikeouts against Queens and a 3.0-inning, 5-strikeout appearance at FGCU. He’s a 6-foot-1 senior left-hander with a strong strikeout track record, and North Florida’s 2025 preview highlighted his 2024 Delaware State line of 7-0, 3.91 ERA, and 74 strikeouts in 73.2 innings. The appeal: he can handle multi-inning relief, misses bats, and brings veteran polish; the question for a staff is whether his command and consistency hold up against tougher lineups.
