Ben Altit brought rim protection and energy to Bryant’s frontcourt
In the 2011-12 season, Ben Altit was Bryant’s top shot blocker, finishing with 37 blocks and 1.23 blocks per game while starting 17 of 30 games as a freshman. He added 5.0 points per game, 2.6 rebounds, and strong offensive-glass work, which made him a disruptive, high-motor frontcourt piece rather than a pure scoring forward. For a team, the appeal is clear: he protects the paint, competes hard, and gives you hustle production that doesn’t always show up in a box score.
