experienced, versatile linebacker with proven playmaking instincts
Tyler Murray brings veteran production and ball-hawking instincts to the linebacker spot, with Memphis listing him at 6-1, 225 and prior seasons showing impact plays, including 67 tackles and 2 interceptions in the 2022 season at Memphis after productive stops at Troy and Charlotte. His differentiators are range, experience, and a knack for forcing turnovers rather than just piling up tackles, which makes him a good fit for a defense that values speed and awareness in space.
