Rhode Island OL transfer Dimitrios Gkountoudis brings proven mauling power and starter experience
Gkountoudis is an experienced offensive lineman whose clearest calling card is physical dominance: at Clearwater Academy, Rhode Island noted he set a school record for pancake blocks and allowed zero sacks, and he later started 10 games at left guard for Western Illinois in 2023. That kind of profile matters for teams wanting a rugged interior blocker who can move people and hold up in pass protection. The fit question is less about flash than reliability—he looks like a developmental-but-ready trench piece with real starting credibility.
