proven academic grinder with award-winning consistency, but role details need verification
Colin Maher shows the kind of steady, coach-friendly profile that usually earns trust fast: at Southwest Minnesota State, he was named All-NSIC South Second Team in 2025 and earned Academic All-NSIC honors in 2023, 2024, and 2025. That points to a reliable, high-IQ player with strong habits and staying power, the sort of athlete who fits well in disciplined programs. However, publicly available search results are inconsistent about his current San Jose State status and position, so his exact 2026 role and DB impact should be verified before making a roster fit call.
