Claire Goins gives Santa Clara size, efficiency, and interior reliability at forward
Goins has been a dependable frontcourt piece for Santa Clara, bringing length, shot-blocking, and efficient scoring inside; in the 2008-09 season she appeared in all 31 games, ranked third on the team with a 47.5% field-goal rate, and added nine blocks, showing she can finish around the rim and hold her own defensively.[2] Earlier game notes also show she can contribute in different ways when called upon, including a nine-point, four-rebound outing in a key road win.[1] If you need a forward who plays with steady effort and gives you low-drama production rather than flashy volume, she fits that profile well.[2][1]
