Brown Bears' Tackle Machine and Ivy League Champion (Class of 2009)
Steve Ziogas, a hard-hitting linebacker for the Brown Bears, led the team with 65 tackles including 3 TFL in the 2008 season, anchoring a defense that clinched the Ivy League title with a key win over Columbia—adding 3 tackles in that game alone. A versatile standout from Bristol Central High (584 rushing yards, 5.36 YPC, 4 TDs in 2004-05), he brought NFL-caliber intensity, sacking Princeton's QB alongside peers, making him a coach's dream for run-stopping leadership and multi-positional grit. Post-college, he transitioned to coaching lacrosse at Wesleyan, showcasing enduring football passion.
