Cortez McNeil brings veteran size and interior toughness to WVU’s defensive front
Cortez McNeil is a senior defensive tackle at West Virginia listed at 6-3, 270 pounds, giving the Mountaineers a big, experienced body inside in the 2026 season.[1] His profile suggests the classic value-add DT: length, bulk, and rotational depth that can help clog run lanes and absorb blockers, even if the public stat sheet doesn’t show a major production profile.[1] For a team, that makes him most appealing as a dependable interior piece rather than a flashy headline grabber—useful if you want sturdiness, maturity, and a plug-and-play frame in the trenches.[1]
