Ole Miss’ steady, award-winning center with SEC-ready bite
Ben Claxton was a high-end Ole Miss interior lineman whose calling card was consistency, toughness, and run blocking; in the 1999 season he earned freshman All-America honors, and by 2001 and 2002 he had become a second-team All-SEC center. He started 37 games in college and anchored lines that were among the SEC’s best at limiting sacks, with Ole Miss allowing just 10 sacks in 2001 and 50 sacks over the 1999-2002 span noted by the program. If you want a center who brings experience, leadership, and trench discipline, Claxton fits the bill.
