MEAC's Dominant Center Anchor for Norfolk State Spartans
Colby Byrd, Norfolk State's rock-solid 6-2, 315-lb center, earned All-MEAC First Team honors in 2021 after starting 10 games, and snagged three Offensive Lineman of the Week awards for paving the way in key wins over Elizabeth City State, Virginia Lynchburg, and Morgan State. His reliability, academic excellence (National Honor Society), and transfer grit from Virginia Union make him a low-risk, high-floor OL who excels in pass protection and run blocking—ideal for teams seeking a battle-tested leader with pro upside. Why care? He's the engine powering Spartan surges.
