Versatile, blitz-happy linebacker with NFL-caliber edge
D.J. Calhoun was a productive Arizona State linebacker whose best collegiate season came in 2017, when he posted 99 tackles and 6.5 sacks while finishing second on the team in both categories. In the 2018 draft profile, he was praised for his speed, blitz ability, and improved tackling efficiency, with one analysis noting he had become a more complete linebacker after earlier concerns about missed tackles. The fit question? If a defense wants an aggressive, mobile linebacker who can attack downhill and pressure the quarterback, Calhoun brings real juice; if you need a pure coverage specialist, that’s less his lane.
