Claudene Gooden brings veteran size and steady interior minutes to New Orleans
Gooden is a true post presence for the 2026 season, listed at center and known more for steady, physical interior play than flashy scoring. The verified stat line available shows career averages of 3.8 points and 3.0 rebounds in 104 games, which suggests a reliable role player rather than a volume producer[1]. What makes her interesting is the veteran profile: experienced, durable, and comfortable in a traditional center role, with enough polish to stay on the floor and give a team structure inside[1].
