Kansas gets a steady, old-school floor general in Nginyu Ngala
Nginyu Ngala enters the 2026 season as a seasoned Kansas reserve who brings veteran poise, shooting gravity, and real playmaking chops: in his final season before KU, he averaged 14.9 points, 4.5 rebounds, and 3.1 assists at Laurentian, and across his Canadian college career he totaled 1,080 points, 206 assists, and 147 made threes. He’s not a flashy mega-recruit, but he is a mature, 5-foot-10 connector who has been praised for depth value, leadership, and experience—very much the kind of guard who can stabilize a second unit and make a roster feel smarter.
