From 30-Point Star to Assistant GM, a Sacramento State Legend with Elite Intensity
Zach Chappell is no longer an active player but a Sacramento State legend who transitioned from a 30-point career-high scorer (Jan 22, 2022) and 42 double-figure games to Assistant General Manager for the 2025-26 season. His differentiators include elite intensity—evidenced by playing pro ball in Germany (2024) and the Drew League—plus a personality built on relentless work ethic and loyalty to his alma mater. While he doesn't fit a team as a current athlete, his value lies in leadership, strategic insight, and a proven track record of high-level performance, making him an ideal fit for roles requiring mentorship, operations, and team culture development.
